Google uses Smart Compose, a brand-new AI-powered technology that makes it easier to quickly create emails from scratch.
You may confidently and swiftly draught emails with the help of this new functionality.
Smart Compose suggests full sentences in your emails so you can quickly create them, from your opening to your conclusion (and common terms in between). You may write an email as you normally would because Smart Compose runs in the background, and it will make suggestions as you type.
You will see ideas when you start writing an email. Until you give permission, none of these recommendations will be implemented to your email. Click the Tab key on your keyboard to use a recommendation you like when you see one. The phrase will be automatically typed for you when you press the Tab key.
This function is turned on by default. You can turn off this feature if you don’t like it by going to:
- The Gear icon in the upper right of Gmail Home Screen
- Settings > Smart Compose > check “Writing Suggestion off”
