What is ICANN?

ICANN is a non-profit organization that manages the internet. They help to keep the internet stable and secure and decide all policies for top-level domains and name servers.

All domain registrars need to comply with the rules set by ICANN, for example:

  • Require customers to agree with their terms.
  • Publish information in the WHOIS and make sure it stays up to date.
  • Inform registrants when their domain is about to expire.

One.com is an ICANN accredited domain registrar. This means that we are fulfilling the requirements set by ICANN.
