Customize your storefront by displaying your own domain name in the web browser address bar. For example, your storefront URL can display as www.coolexample.com instead of the default URL.
- Login with your username and password to get into your reseller hosting control center.
- After choosing Settings, choose Company Info.
- Enter your selected Standard Storefront Domain under Storefront Domain Setup.
- Use a subdomain, such as shop.coolexample.com, to showcase your distinctive branding if you’re utilizing a reseller plugin for your storefront.
- We advise setting up both a subdomain and domain forwarding (to your domain that starts with www or the subdomain you select) if you have a typical shop. Users might not be able to access your storefront when using your domain name if you don’t forward the principal domain to the appropriate version of the domain.
- Don’t check the box next to “I manage my DNS” if the domain name you provided is registered in the same account and uses our nameservers. We’ll update your DNS for you automatically.
- (Optional) Check the box next to “I manage my DNS” if you want to use a different domain name. Before we can connect it to your storefront, you must adjust your domain’s DNS CNAME to point to the cname provided before we can connect to your storefront.
- Add a new CNAME Record for the subdomain you entered above for domains registered with us and point it to the cname provided.
- For information on how to update your server for names registered anywhere other than with us, contact your web hosting provider.
- (Optional) Check the box next to “I manage my DNS” if you want to use a different domain name. Before we can connect it to your storefront, you must adjust your domain’s DNS CNAME to point to the cname provided before we can connect to your storefront.
- Enter a Home URL, the chosen domain for the homepage of your storefront.
- Choose Save. The full impact of your DNS modifications may not manifest for up to 48 hours.
