When you initially register a domain name it is usually registered for an initial period of 1 year. For more details of costs and registration periods see here. When the domain name nears expiry you will normally be given the chance the renew the registration for a further period (usually 1-9 years). Please note that if you change your telephone number, postal or email addresses it is important you let us know, if you do not and we cannot contact you to advise you the domain name is due for renewal it may be deleted and released for re-registration by other people!
