Advanced sharing options for files are available through Google Drive. As a result, you can easily control what users may access and how they can access data.
STEPS
- You can access more sharing options by choosing the Gear icon when sharing a file in Google Drive.
- Editors’ ability to modify permissions and distribute the document can be controlled by these extra sharing settings. If you want users to be able to edit the file without having an impact on other people’s access, you may or may not wish to allow this for your file.
- If you want to share the file via a link, you can specify who has access to the link by going back to the initial share screen
- The various levels of access that you can choose from are Restricted, which means that only those who shared the file via the Share button can access it using the link, Manhattan College, which limits access to those with Manhattan College accounts, and Public, which allows access to anyone in the world.
