Adding domain and Configure DNS for Office 365 

 To add a new domain to Office 365, follow these steps: 

  •  Log in to the Microsoft 365 admin center using your admin credentials. 
  • Go to the “Domains” section of the admin center. 
  • Click on “Add domain” and enter the new domain name. 
  • Verify the domain by adding a TXT or MX record to the DNS settings of your domain registrar. 
  • Once the domain is verified, you can set it as the primary domain for your Office 365 account, or use it for email or custom URLs. 
  • Add users and assign licenses for the domain. 

 Please note that you will need to have admin access to the Office 365 tenant to add new domains 

  To add Office 365 DNS records in CloudNS, follow these steps: 

 

  1. Log in to your CloudNS account and select the domain that you want to use with Office 365. 
  1. Go to the “DNS Records” section and add the following DNS records: 
  1. MX record: This is used to route email for your domain to Office 365. The MX record should point to the Office 365 mail servers, which can be found in the Office 365 admin center or in the Microsoft documentation. 
  1. TXT record: This is used to verify that you own the domain. The TXT record should contain the value provided by Office 365 during the domain verification process. 
  1. CNAME record: This is used to set up autodiscover service, this will point to the Office 365 autodiscover service 
  1. Save the DNS records and wait for the changes to propagate. It may take up to 48 hours for the changes to take effect. 
  1. Once the DNS records are set up, go back to the Office 365 admin center and verify the domain.

  • Log in to your Etisalat account and select the domain that you want to use with Office 365. 
  • Go to the “DNS Management” section and add the following DNS records: 
  • MX record: This is used to route email for your domain to Office 365. The MX record should point to the Office 365 mail servers, which can be found in the Office 365 admin center or in the Microsoft documentation.
