Using Google Calendar to Set Up Appointment Slots

Only those who have a Google Calendar account for work or school are able to use this function.

On your calendar, you may create appointments that people can reserve.
Professors, for instance, could ask their students to schedule time during work hours each week.

Make sure to choose the primary calendar as the owner of your Google Account if you have several calendars.

Set up & share appointment slots

  1. Create appointment slots
    1. Only those who have a Google Calendar account for work or school are able to use this function.
    2. On your calendar, you may create appointments that people can reserve.
      Professors, for instance, could ask their students to schedule time during work hours each week.
    3. Make sure to choose the primary calendar as the owner of your Google Account if you have several calendars.
  2. Invite more people to the appointment

    Click Add guests after opening the event to include more people.
    A lecturer, for instance, might request that her assistant be present during office hours.

    Don’t invite anyone who wants to book a certain appointment time.
    Anyone who is added here will receive invitations to all appointments made during the block of time and an email whenever a reservation is made.

  3. Recommend that people make reservations

    You can invite individuals to schedule time after you’ve set aside appointment times.

    Don’t welcome people to the appointment slot; instead, invite them to schedule an appointment.
    Get a URL for your appointment slots page instead, and send that to them:

    1. Launch the Google Calendar.
    2. To open the appointment slots event, simply click on it.
    3. The appointment page link for the calendar can be located at the top of the event.
    4. People who want to make an appointment should send this link to them.

      Note: Reservations must be made through Google Calendar.
      To begin, they can open a Google Account.
